I am a singing teacher based in Spalding.  I teach  singing from my home on the Pinchbeck Road near the centre of Spalding.

Learn to Sing

So you want to become a singer and I will help you achieve that. Learning from me you will discover how to read the dots on the page - the printed music -  how to communicate and express yourself through your performance and many techniques and tips to help you get to the standard you want combining efficiency with pleasure.

Complete beginners up to Grade 8 exam standard are welcome and I can enter you into ABRSM and Trinity exam boards. Saying that, you don't have to take exams at all. My ambition for you is to have a life-long relationship with enjoying singing your own pleasure. It is called "playing" music for a reason!

Every lesson is personalised and unique. I do not fill my diary with hundreds of pupils as I wish to focus on fewer pupils fully and give them quality attention.

In your singing lesson you will learn healthy singing techniques integrated with a healthy body and true emotional responses. Genres I teach include  classical style of music and music theatre. ( Pupils will enter into the drama of a piece of music understanding the context, the text and the musical language.) People from Rock, Folk and Pop do come to me for vocal tips to improve the longevity of their vocal chords.

I have a good sense of humour and we laugh in the lessons. I had to go through hundreds of hours of lessons and thousands of hours of practice so I will be with you on your musical journey all the way.

Teaches Adults

Adults are also warmly welcomed to have singing lessons - in fact I have more adult singers than children.  These vary from people who were told as children they couldn't sing and also people who can sing but want to take it further or learn to read music. Singing is a great stress buster and people report feeling much better for singing regularly.
