Victorian Musical Evening

I really want to give my private pupils the opportunity to share the work they have been doing with their families and one another. As I can't fit everyone in any of my teaching room I have booked a venue for everyone to perform (voluntarily!) late afternoon/ early evening on Sunday 28th January 2018.

To make it a bit less daunting I am presenting it as a bit of fun as a

Victorian Parlour Music/ Music Hall style Evening

Perfomances on the piano and songs

Venue: Cruck Barn Bradwell Abbey Milton Keynes MK13 9AP

Arrive: 4.30pm

Performances 5.15

Carriages around  7.30 /8pm

Refreshments: Donations towards tea and coffee

There will be a bar to buy soft and alcoholic drinks.

There isn't any food catering so make sure 'you'll have had your tea' as someone once famously said.

Wear an item of Victorian /Edwardian dress – a shawl – a hat – think Charles Dickens, Mary Poppins or Sweeney Todd!

Wear shoes you can dance in  - Master of Cermonies, Mike Ruff, will be leading us in the audience songs and in a couple of traditional English dances to round off the evening.

I am asking for an entry fee of  £3 per person (to go some way towards the hire of the venue and equipment– ).   Can you let me know how many tickets you would like and that will also give me an idea of the numbers to expect and tables and chairs to put out. I will invoice these to you or you can arrange to pay me at a lesson or at the door.  Family and close friends are warmly invited.

Performers: arrange with me what piece of music or song you are going to share with everyone. We can practice this in your lesson.
